Our Team at NC Country Homes and Land

Vicki Kuhn: Broker-in-Charge, Listing & Marketing Specialist, Equestrian, REALTOR

Vicki absolutely loves her work, and her client’s love her! She’s a down to earth country girl, knows real estate, and has a heart for helping others. She’s true integrity, and very real.

Vicki has loved working with real estate all her adult life. She was first licensed in the early 1980s, in Vermont, where she was born and raised. She quickly decided she would put it on hold to raise her young family first, because she knew she would fully immerse herself once she started.

With her children nearly grown, in 1997 she came to live in Davie County, North Carolina, and purchased her farm. She quickly became involved with the community. From being a Davie Leadership graduate, to Davie Youth Council and Davie County 4-H Leader, to founding a non-profit ranch on her property for the emotionally wounded and underprivileged, utilizing her horses and her peaceful ranch to heal and empower others, Vicki has forever had a heart to serve and make a difference in the lives of others.

Vicki went back to her former love (real estate) in 2009, and soon thereafter founded North Carolina Country Homes & Land!  She now works diligently as the Broker-In-Charge, and the Listing & Marketing Specialist making a difference by helping others with their real estate needs in Davie, Yadkin, Iredell, and Forsyth Counties.

Combining her background in sales, marketing and advertising, with her attention to detail, and her eye for staging, Vicki excels as a Listing Specialist!  Add to this her education with Strategic Pricing and Broker Price Opinion, along with her life-long experience and love of rural properties, Vicki is an excellent choice when searching for a professional to market your property!  She will be the first to tell you, she is not a “listing collector”, and only focuses on few properties at any given time, to market with excellence!

Sam Heaton: Buyer’s Agent, Broker, REALTOR

Vicki Kuhn, Realtor for NC Country Homes and LandSam loves helping others!  So much so, he first earned his RN degree and was an ER nurse at Rowan Regional until his elderly parents moved in with him.  Then to enable him to care for his parents and create his own schedule – he decided to help others with through the complexity of home purchasing!

Sam is not a native of North Carolina, but has lived in the Piedmont for nearly 20 years and in Davie County for most of it.  Originally from Georgia, he grew up in the military, went to school and settled in Macon, Georgia to ultimately retire from Corporate America before moving to North Carolina, his wife’s home state.

Sam started in real estate by assisting several people with the short sale of their homes.  He soon realized how much he enjoyed real estate, so he became a licensed Broker in 2011.  Real estate allowed him the time he needed to tend to his parents and provided the opportunity to nurture clients, something he sorely missed from his ER nursing days.

With his love of helping and nurturing, Sam decided to become an Exclusive Buyers Agent.  He thoroughly enjoys looking at homes and land, meeting new people and assisting them through the process of finding and buying a home or land.  Since he is still “raising is father” and is a serious Cross-Fit Competitor, he likes working with around 10 clients at any given time, so he can give them the time and attention they deserve.  As a former medical professional, he believes finding the “perfect” property is very strong preventive medicine!

Sam and his wife Pam are both serious animal lovers, have several dogs, a couple of cats and maintain a colony of feral cats.  He is also a NC Certified Master Gardner and was blessed with green thumbs, so he loves to plant and watch things grow!  His favorite quote by John Denver is, “Thank God I’m a country boy”.
